HAMMOCK (AERIAL) YOGA 

If you’re seeking a fun-filled adventure that involves exploring new sensations, deepening your understanding of yoga poses, and conquering exciting challenges, then come hang with us!

For all of the Hammock/ Aerial classes offered at Lost in Float. Here are there things you need to prepare for take off:

Things you will need:

    • Yoga mat
    • Yoga hammock

Silk Style Purchase Here or – generally more comfortable as it is soft, stretchy, and less pinchy in comparison to other materials. It can be a beneficial option when getting accustomed to the sensations of an aerial yoga practice. You will also likely have more fabric width to work with, so you will be able to completely lie down in it – lying in your hammock for Savasana is divine! Daisy Chains included.


Parachute Style Purchase Here is a bit more rigid, offers great support and typically comes with handles that can assist pulling yourself up. It is important to note that these hammocks tend to be more pinchy and less comfortable than their silk counterparts. You will also likely not be able to lie down in them, so you will want to take Savasana on your mat instead. **You will also need to purchase Daisy Chains**

  • (optional) Grippy spray – can be helpful for those who have not yet developed good grip strength.

Safety/comfort tips:

  • Avoid loose fitting clothing. One-piece outfits are a great option if you’re worried about having to adjust clothing.
  • Avoid wearing shorts, especially when getting started. The sensation of the hammock can be quite intense at times, so pants are your best option.
  • Jewelry of any kind can get caught in your hammock and cause injury. Please leave jewelry at home or remove it prior to class.
